Born and raised in New York, Allie Avital has directed videos for School of Seven Bells, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Mutual Benefit, Moses Sumney and Autre Ne Veut amongst others. She draws influence from her artistic upbringing - her father was a opera set designer and she grew up studying arts, later evolving into filmmaking through visual arts and performance directing. Her first narrative short ‘Naked Woman’ was selected for the seventh edition of Venice Biennale Cinema College.
