Let us tell you how our tv channel works
In depth articles and films that delve into social topics by amplifying independent new voices
A series about the creators defining the rules of creativity today
About a year ago, we were invited to follow Pipe Poetics, a project which brought experimental composers into Braga’s churches to write new works for their pipe organs.
During a residence period Kara-Lis Coverdale, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe and Claire M Singer, explored different ways to move meaningfully with the instruments. Understanding exactly how each key, lever and pedal resonated.
In our conversations, they reflected on their creative journey, learning through trial and error and what it means to connect with the church’s atmosphere and the Organ.
Highlighting why every organ is different, they broke down the particularities of how sound acts in these spaces, and how to find a way to play with it.
We compiled their rehearsals and our conversations into this original short documentary, which we are really happy to finally reveal.
